Following this discovery, the police launched an investigation. On January 14, 2025, homes and warehouses in Den Helder and a home in Amsterdam were searched.

Man Arrested
A 58-year-old man from Amsterdam was arrested. He is suspected of money laundering and distributing medicines without a permit. After questioning, he was released but remains a suspect. Whether he was involved in the 2022 discovery is still being investigated. Luxury watches and a car were also seized, likely purchased with money from illegal medicine sales.
