Suspects Arrested in the John Raedeckerstraat Case in Almere

Gebied: Almere

The police have arrested three minors for their involvement in the explosions on John Raedeckerstraat. A 16-year-old boy from Almere will be presented to the examining magistrate tomorrow. Two others were also arrested; one had a weapon and the other drugs. It is being investigated whether they were involved in the explosions.

In early January, explosions occurred on John Raedeckerstraat in Almere. The police immediately launched an investigation and do not rule out further arrests.

Safety Risk Area

On January 10, the mayor, after consulting with the Public Prosecution Service and the police, designated John Raedeckerstraat as a safety risk area for ten days. This period has now ended.

During this time, two arrests were made. Two adult suspects were arrested for possession of firearms. The investigation is still ongoing.
