There have been six reports of assaults, likely from the same man. Three victims have filed a complaint. The sexual crimes team of the Rotterdam police, under the direction of the Public Prosecution Service, has launched an investigation. We now have video footage of the suspect and hope that people will recognize him.
Suspect Description
- Man aged between 25 and 40;
- Rides a bike;
- Dark hair and beard;
- Dark puffer jacket with hood (possibly The North Face);
- Speaks Dutch;
- Dark eyes;
- Dark eyebrows;
The man frequently rides a bike. The assaults occurred during the night and early morning in downtown Rotterdam. A week ago, the police asked women to stay extra vigilant. All victims are women; that’s why we urge everyone to be alert to suspicious situations.

The police are working hard on the investigation, reviewing video footage, interviewing witnesses, and increasing patrols in streets. Also, invisible measures are being taken to quickly apprehend the man. There may be more victims who have not yet reported; therefore, we call on them to do so. All information is valuable.
