SMS sent
The police have launched an investigation, but this has not yet led to the arrest of the robber. By showing the images on Crime Investigation Requested, the detectives hope that people will recognize the robber. To ensure that as many people as possible watch the broadcast, an SMS has been sent to everyone who was in Lochem on the day of the robbery. The lead investigator stated: “We hope that as many people as possible will watch and think along with us. We would really like to know who this man is.”
Crime Investigation Requested is broadcast on NPO2 at 8:25 PM. Additionally, the case can also be found on YouTube and on social media.

You may have received an SMS and want to know how the police got your number. The police can request mast data to determine which phones were in the vicinity at a certain time. This generates a list of phones that were connected to the mast at the requested time. With this data, people can be targeted via SMS to contribute their thoughts. However, it could also be that you were not in Lochem but passed by at that moment. Your phone could have been connected to the mast, which is why you also received an SMS.
