Space Cake Bakery in Zaandam
At a property on Tienlingstraat, officers discovered soft drugs and packaging materials on January 6. This indicates a production site for space cakes, which is prohibited. No arrests have been made so far.
Operational Cannabis Farm in Akersloot
On January 7, police found a farm with 190 plants in a house on Tarp. Goods were also found. No arrests have been made, but the owner will be questioned later.
Cannabis Farm in Castricum
On January 9, the drug team discovered a farm in a commercial building on Heemstederweg with 670 plants and cuttings. Police will later speak with the owner.
Materials Destroyed
All cannabis plants and equipment have been seized and destroyed. Municipalities have been informed for potential closures of properties. The space cake bakery in Zaandam has already been closed by the municipality of Zaanstad.

- Illegal electricity tapping was found, with risks such as fire. Report suspicions of a farm.
- If you smell strong cannabis and hear loud ventilation, it might be a cannabis farm.
- Water theft occurred in Akersloot and Castricum, posing public health risks.
- CO2 boosters are increasingly used, which can be dangerous.
