Suspected Drug Lab Under Construction Found in Kallenkote

Area: Kallenkote

On Tuesday afternoon, February 4, the police discovered items at a property on Akkerpad in Kallenkote that indicate the presence of a developing drug lab.

In response to a report, the police found materials that are presumably from the production of synthetic drugs. Additionally, raw materials were found that can be used in the production of such drugs. The occupants of the property have been arrested in connection with this discovery, and their possible involvement is being further investigated. The National Facility for Dismantling (LFO) and Forensic Investigation (FO) are continuing the investigation and will further dismantle the suspected lab.

Risks of Drug Labs

A drug lab is dangerous for the residents and the neighborhood. Dangerous substances are often used in the production of drugs. These substances can be harmful to health and the environment. They can also lead to explosions and fires. Additionally, drug labs or storage places for drugs can cause more crime in the area, making it less safe.

To help stop drug crime and prevent dangerous situations, everyone’s help is needed. If you suspect a drug lab or drug storage in your area, report it to the police at 0900 - 8844 or anonymously via Meld Misdaad Anoniem at 0800 - 7000.
