Fines and Three Arrests During Major Traffic Control

On January 14, police students, Traffic Team, motor officers, and other enforcers conducted a traffic control in Breda, checking 129 vehicles.

Motor officers signaled drivers and directed them to a parking area on Speelhuislaan for inspection. A total of 26 fines were issued for various violations.

 

Motorcyclist Ignores Stop Sign

A motorcyclist ignored a stop sign and fled. After a chase, he climbed over a fence and stopped. The 15-year-old rider was arrested, and the motorcycle was found to be stolen. He did not possess a drivers license.

 

Results:

  • 26 fines for different violations
  • 3 arrests for the Aliens Act and handling stolen goods (stolen scooter)
  • 3 instances of driving under the influence, 1 for drugs, 2 for alcohol. One driver had to surrender his license.
  • 1 vehicle removed from traffic for technical inspection.
  • 1 knife confiscated.
  • 1 amount of soft drugs seized from a driver under the influence of drugs.

 

The tax office reported:

  • €50,000 collected from 25 confiscated items.
  • 3 instances of driving with a suspended registration, with an additional charge of €1000 per driver.
  • 2 instances of improperly driving with foreign plates, with an additional charge of €1500 per driver.
