Appointment of Deputy Secretary-General of Foreign Affairs

Mr. H. (Hans) Docter has been appointed as Deputy Secretary-General at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The Council of Ministers approved this nomination on the proposal of Minister Uitermark of the Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations. The appointment will take effect in mid-August 2025.

Hans Docter has been serving as interim Co-CEO at Invest International since July 2024. Previously, he held various positions at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, including Director of Sustainable Economic Development and Ambassador to Israel and Ghana. He studied Dutch Law at the University of Amsterdam.

This appointment was achieved through the procedure for the top management group of the General Administrative Service.
