Police Arrests Suspected Perpetrators of Explosion on Maasstraat Purmerend

On Wednesday, March 5, the police arrested two suspected perpetrators of the explosion on Maasstraat in Purmerend. They are two minors from The Hague and Zaandam. The explosion on Maasstraat took place on December 15, 2024. A 16-year-old boy was seriously injured in this incident. A Major Investigation Team has been investigating the explosion since December 2024, resulting in multiple arrests.
In the investigation, three other arrests were made earlier. Three men from Purmerend. Of these three suspects, only a 19-year-old man from Purmerend is still in pre-trial detention. He is considered the mastermind behind the explosion.
