Gebied: Zeeland West-Brabant

Young and old: discover if detective work is something for you!Have you always wanted to contribute to the fight against crime? Then we have the perfect challenge for you! The Zeeland West-Brabant police unit is looking for 20 detectives (in training). Whether you are available full-time or part-time, if you have the right motivation and at least an MBO 3 diploma, the police warmly invites you to apply. We have positions available in Breda, Bergen op Zoom, Tilburg, and Zeeland.

As a detective, you will have the opportunity to work on interesting and complex investigative cases. You will be supported and coached by our experienced detectives. The position is for a maximum period of 3 years, and you will receive both the BOA training and an additional detective training, during which you will be intensively (paid) trained for 12 months.

Whether you are young or old, work in ICT or education, have an MBO, HBO, or WO background: we warmly welcome a diversity of talents and skills. Different perspectives can help us immensely in solving complex investigative cases, says Igor Maas, team leader of the Specialist Investigation Department.

What will you do?

“The first year is mainly focused on learning and developing. You will learn on the job and will be guided in a way that suits your situation,” says Maas. Your tasks will include taking statements, interviewing witnesses, processing intercepted communications, and drafting reports. Additionally, you will assist with searches and the handling and processing of seized goods. Maas: “After a year, we will decide together which investigation team suits your talents best, and you can get started right away.”
