Employers will receive a part of the training costs they have incurred for training new or current employees. It concerns practical training programs where people work and learn at the same time. The percentage that employers will be reimbursed depends on the level of the training to be followed. With this subsidy, the government aims to invest money more effectively to address shortages in these sectors and contribute to the sustainable employability of (new) personnel. The subsidy can be applied for via Implementation of Policy.
Who is it for?
The training subsidy is intended for employers. Later this year, collaborations of employer and employee organizations and/or O&O funds with labor market regions and provinces can also apply for this subsidy collectively.
Part of the Development Path
The subsidy is for training programs that are part of a so-called Development Path for a societally crucial sector. The first twelve Development Paths have been established by the sectors themselves and recognized by the Minister of Social Affairs and Employment. These belong to the sectors of Care and Welfare, Childcare, Gardeners and Green Services, and Technology, Construction, and Energy.
A Development Path shows what positions exist in a sector and which training programs lead to these positions. This way, you can see how to enter and advance in a sector or switch between sectors. More Development Paths will come throughout the year, including for education and ICT.
The recognized Development Paths can be found at rijksoverheid.nl/ontwikkelpaden.
This training subsidy is a new part of the SLIM scheme.
