Arrest
The resident of an apartment complex on Douvenrade refused to cooperate with the eviction. He threw a liquid - presumably gasoline - over the officers. The resident was subsequently arrested.
Breathing problems
The officers experienced breathing problems. They were checked by paramedics but did not need to go to the hospital. The fire department came to the scene as a precaution.
Violence against police officers (GTPA)
The police find aggression and violence against their staff or other emergency workers unacceptable. Police officers have a responsible role in society and must be able to perform their duties without being hindered. With mutual respect. Aggression or violence, in any form, against staff will not be tolerated. The police and justice system employ the same approach: reports are always taken, offenders are prioritized by the Public Prosecution Service to be brought before the court, and a severe penalty is sought against the offenders.
