Fundamental Rights of People Better Protected by Abolishing the Review Prohibition
If people believe that a law infringes on their fundamental rights, they should be able to have it reviewed by the courts. The cabinet therefore wants to abolish the prohibition on reviewing laws against the Constitution. A special court should also be established for this purpose. This will better protect the fundamental rights of individuals. Minister Uitermark of the Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations and Secretary of State Struycken (Legal Protection) have sent their plans to the First and Second Chambers.
