These include boys aged 12, 13, and 15 from Rotterdam, a 14-year-old girl from Rotterdam, a 14-year-old boy from Maarsbergen, and a 16-year-old boy from Enschede. The role of each suspect in this incident is being individually investigated. The suspects are currently under full restrictions, meaning they may only have contact with their lawyer.
A shooting incident
Initially, there was doubt about the nature of the injuries sustained by the 11-year-old victim, which could have been from stabbing or shooting. Clarity has now been achieved, allowing the police to state with certainty that shots were fired.
February 16
On February 16 at around 19:10, officers responded to a report of a loud bang heard from a residence on Asterlo. Officers found a seriously injured boy in the residence. He had to be resuscitated and was taken to the hospital in critical condition. The police immediately launched an investigation. A firearm was found outside the residence and has been seized. Other evidence is also being examined, and footage is being reviewed.
Large-scale investigation
