In the night from Saturday to Sunday, a truck was stolen from a company in Barneveld. On Sunday morning, the police found the truck without a driver on an industrial estate in Harderwijk. It was suspected that the truck would be used for theft.
Teams from the National Expertise and Operations Unit monitored the truck. On Sunday evening, the truck arrived at a company in Harderwijk, where two dressed individuals hooked up a trailer. The truck then left with the trailer. The police also noticed two involved cars. At a parking lot in Breda, five suspects aged between 18 and 58 were arrested. This includes four Dutch nationals and one Bosnian. The suspects are in custody for questioning.
