Investigation into the death of William Caceres Marcano, police seeks witnesses

William Caceres Marcano was found dead in a home on Hogendijk in Zaandam in the night of Sunday, January 19 to Monday, January 20, 2025. The police believes that William Caceres Marcano died as a result of a crime. The detectives would like to get in touch with anyone who saw or spoke to him between Friday evening, January 17, and Saturday, January 18.

Victim
William Caceres Marcano came from Venezuela and had recently obtained Dutch residency status. He had not lived long in the home on Hogendijk in Zaandam. William, also known as drag queen Alyssa, was an entrepreneurial person. He was well-known and loved in the LGBTQ+ community and had many contacts there.

Investigation
A Large-Scale Investigation Team is investigating the death of William Caceres Marcano. The investigation team is exploring various scenarios. Whether Williams sexual orientation or work was a motive for his death is being investigated. The detectives request anyone with more information about the possible background of his death to contact the police.
