Man dies after intentional collision

Area: Valkenburg

Man dies after intentional collision. The 36-year-old man from Noordwijkerhout has died following a suspected intentional collision on Voorschoterweg. Three suspects have been arrested. Earlier, he was incorrectly reported to be 34 years old.

At around 8:00 PM, police received a report of a seriously injured man on Voorschoterweg. Despite attempts at resuscitation, he was already deceased. There are strong indications that the man was intentionally hit, leading to a major investigation. Later that evening, three suspects were arrested in The Hague.

Due to the serious crime, a Major Investigation Team (TGO) has been established. The team is investigating the circumstances of the collision and exploring various scenarios. The suspects, two men aged 29 and 30 from Rotterdam and Hoorn, and a 29-year-old woman from Leiden, are being held under strict conditions. This means they can only communicate with their lawyer, which makes the police and the Public Prosecution Service cautious about sharing information. Several vehicles have been seized as part of the investigation.
