Robbery jeweler - Leyweg - The Hague
On a jeweler on Leyweg, a robbery was committed on Wednesday afternoon, June 12, around 5:15 PM. A female employee was at that moment in a room at the back of the store, and another female employee was behind the counter. Since the store was about to close, they were already busy with closing activities. The employee behind the counter saw the suspect rushing towards the counter. He raised his coat and pulled out a large knife. He drew the knife from under his clothing and held it towards the employee. He threatened her and said he wanted gold. Under the threat of the knife, she had to put jewelry in a bag from Albert Heijn. The other employee was also threatened with the knife. After that, the robber ran away. Investigations show that the suspect was not alone: someone was waiting in the Tinaarlostraat with a bicycle. After the robbery, the two rode off in the direction of Hoogeveenlaan.
