A police officer from the Rotterdam Unit has been dishonorably dismissed

On June 5, the then 41-year-old police officer from Rotterdam was arrested on suspicion of involvement in the preparation of a murder on her ex-partner.
Based on the investigative results of the criminal investigation, a disciplinary investigation was initiated. This was conducted by the Safety, Integrity and Complaints (VIK) department of the Rotterdam police unit.
This investigation revealed that there had been serious dereliction of duty. For that reason, dishonorable dismissal has been announced to the colleague.

The criminal proceedings will continue under the direction of the Public Prosecution Service.
It is expected that the substantive treatment of the criminal case will take place in September of this year.
