Shooting at residence, possible connection with earlier stabbing incident

The shooting incident occurred when the resident opened the door for two men. After shots were fired, they both fled. The woman was not injured but was understandably very shocked. At the time of the shooting, several people were present in the house, including a number of children. They also remained unharmed. The police were immediately called, and we started an investigation. We conducted extensive forensic examinations and secured some evidence. We also reviewed available camera footage and conducted neighborhood inquiries. What kind of weapon may have been used is also under investigation. So far, no one has been arrested.

Previous incident
It is noteworthy that a day earlier, someone was stabbed in the leg at the same residence. The investigation into that incident is still ongoing. The motive appeared to be a conflict between those involved. No one has been arrested in this case either. We are considering that there may be a connection between both cases and are investigating the exact cause of these incidents. For this, we are interviewing those involved and as many witnesses as possible who may be able to provide us with more information.
