40-Year-Old Man Arrested in Drug Trafficking Investigation

On Tuesday, March 4, the police arrested a 40-year-old man from Doorn on suspicion of drug trafficking. The police got onto the mans trail after receiving anonymous information.

Anonymous Information
In December 2024, the police received anonymous information indicating that this man was involved in drug trafficking. The police launched an investigation into the man and mapped out who he is and what he was involved in. Strange transactions were observed, and the police discovered an unexplained wealth. This investigation led to the suspicion that the man was indeed involved in drug trafficking, particularly in the municipality of Heuvelrug and in Utrecht.
 

Quantity of Controlled Substances
On Tuesday, March 4, the police were able to catch the 40-year-old man from Doorn in the act in Utrecht. During a search, the police found controlled substances. Afterwards, the suspects home in Doorn was searched. Here, a quantity of controlled substances, various items that could be used in drug trafficking, and a significant amount of cash were found. All these items were seized, along with the suspects car.
 

The man is still in custody and will be presented today (March 7). The municipality of Utrechtse Heuvelrug is considering possible administrative measures.
