Colleagues heard a loud bang just before midnight from the Meer en Vaart police station. Shortly thereafter, multiple emergency calls came in with the same information. Officers arrived at Barbara van Meertenstraat and found a group of people and a vehicle that was on fire. Additionally, the front door of a house was also on fire. Fortunately, the fire department was able to control the fire quickly. The residents were home at the time of the explosion, but fortunately, no one was injured. An investigation has been initiated on-site by the Explosives Investigation Team, forensic investigation members, and detectives.
