Police Warns About Burglaries at Detached Houses Under Renovation

Gebied: COLIJNSPLAAT

The police warn about burglars targeting detached houses under renovation in rural areas. Recently, there have been several similar burglaries in a short period where tools were stolen.

For example, on the night of February 24 to 25, a break-in occurred at a house on Noordlangeweg in Colijnsplaat. A window was smashed, and tools were stolen.

On the night of February 26 to 27, a break-in occurred at Krijn Karelsweg in Ellemeet. Again, after forcing a window, an expensive plastering machine from the brand GBT Booster was taken.

On the night of February 27 to 28, exactly the same happened at Havelaarstraat in Colijnsplaat as at the other addresses.

Detached, rural area, renovation

In all cases, it concerns a detached house in a rural area. At the time of the break-in, renovations were taking place in all houses. The police are investigating the burglaries and are also looking into a possible connection.

The police also urge residents to be extra vigilant and report any unusual situations. This can be done via the general phone number 0900-8844. In an emergency situation, you can call 112 directly.
