Until now. A 28-year-old man who now resides in Arnhem likely felt guilty and recently turned himself in to the police in his hometown. Officers took a statement from him. In it, he expressed not only regret for committing the robbery in Terneuzen but also stated that he wants to repay the money he stole at that time to the victim. The police in Arnhem contacted their colleagues in Zeeland, and thus this Zeeland case has now been resolved.
The old case has been retrieved from the archives, the statement from the man from Arnhem has been added, and the complete file will be sent to the Public Prosecution Service. A Public Prosecutor will now consider how to proceed with the case.
