Suspect Arrested for Drug Trafficking at Schiphol

On Sunday, February 2, 2025, a 46-year-old man from Zwijndrecht was arrested at Schiphol. He is suspected of drug trafficking. The Port Police of the Zeeland-West-Brabant unit had already started an investigation into this trafficking and searched his home that same Sunday.

The suspect was arrested at the airport by the Royal Marechaussee. He is considered the financier of a crane in Moerdijk, where 3097 kg of cocaine was found on June 28, 2024. 

During the search of his home, which was conducted under the supervision of an examining magistrate, various items were seized, such as documents, digital storage devices, and jewelry. A car was also confiscated. The suspect has been transferred to the police station and is being held for further investigation.
