Six New Arrests After Series of Violent Robberies in North Holland North

In the investigation into a series of violent robberies in North Holland North, the police arrested six men aged 18 to 23 in February. They come from Alkmaar, Heerhugowaard, Enkhuizen, and the municipalities of Dijk and Waard, Drechterland, Medemblik, and Stede Broec. They are suspected of involvement in several robberies in Andijk, Zuid-Scharwoude, and Sint Pancras. The police continue the investigation and do not rule out more arrests. A total of 9 persons have been arrested in the investigation.

In North Holland North, at least fourteen incidents have occurred since May 2023, where men were lured to a location and then robbed. Some were also extorted and/or threatened for more money after such an incident. The victims thought they were having a date with a young woman.

Two Perpetrator Groups
The police believe that two perpetrator groups are responsible for the series of incidents in North Holland North. They seem to be using more and more violence. Several victims ended up in the hospital.
