Brabant Cities Join Forces Against Street Intimidation: Dont hesitate, but act!

Carnival is a celebration of conviviality and connection in Brabant. The municipalities of s-Hertogenbosch, Eindhoven, Breda, and Tilburg are collaborating with BO Diversity, an organization dedicated to promoting diversity and inclusion. The message is clear: Dont hesitate, but act!. A fun and festive campaign that underscores the importance of mutual respect.

Posters have also been distributed by the FEC among the affiliated carnival associations. The Eindhoven Youth Council, linked to the municipal council, has delivered posters to various high schools in Eindhoven.

Working together for a respectful celebration
If you notice any unwanted behavior, you can easily make a difference for another carnival-goer. The participating municipalities share six simple steps: stay nearby, ask if someone is okay, distract the perpetrator, ensure someone can go elsewhere, involve others, and report it. Small gestures can make a big difference. By looking out for each other, carnival remains a celebration for everyone.

Reporting helps!
If you see or experience street intimidation, report it to the municipality or police. With each report, municipalities gain better insight and can take more targeted action. More information on reporting street intimidation can be found at www.eindhoven.nl/straatintimidatie. Lets work together to ensure a carnival where everyone feels welcome. So: dont hesitate, but act!
