Alderman Jeroen Bruijns (physical neighborhood affairs) presented the neighborhood plan for Heusdenhout to Toine Visker, chairman of the Heusdenhout neighborhood council, last Saturday. In recent months, residents have been able to think about the future of their neighborhood. Many major (real estate) developments are approaching the neighborhood. The neighborhood plan is intended to ensure that Heusdenhout remains a pleasant neighborhood in the future. The neighborhood plan can be viewed today at Heusdenhout Neighborhood Plan.
There is much to happen in Heusdenhout. Plans are in place for new homes, the forecourt of the Heusdenhout shopping center will be renovated and greened, and the Heerbaan will be made safer. The neighborhood plan brings together all developments and provides direction for the future of the neighborhood. The Municipality of Breda, the Heusdenhout neighborhood council, and the housing corporations WonenBreburg and Laurentius worked together on the neighborhood plan. The ideas of residents were taken into account.
Involvement of the Neighborhood
In addition to a questionnaire and two information markets, a sounding board group consisting of about 10 neighborhood makers has been closely involved in the process and content. “We are proud that we could develop this neighborhood plan together with the residents and partners in the neighborhood,” says Alderman Jeroen Bruijns. “We are confident that the neighborhood plan not only makes sense on paper but is also recognized. This gives great confidence in the implementation of the beautiful plans and in the development of Heusdenhout. We do it for and especially together with the residents of Heusdenhout.”
