On Saturday, June 21, 20 couples will marry during the Op de Ring festival. The lucky couples have received notifications and will soon discuss their wedding with the Marriage Bureau of the Municipality of Amsterdam.
The weddings are a highlight of the Op de Ring festival. A part of the highway will be specially designated as a wedding venue for this day. Here, 20 weddings will take place in a festive atmosphere, complete with a red carpet, space for guests, music, photo and cake moments, and a full ceremony with officiant and witnesses.
Great interest
Nearly 400 couples applied to marry at the Ring. Due to the high demand, a notary conducted a lottery. The selected couples reside in Amsterdam or Weesp. The weddings will be officiated by officials of the Municipality of Amsterdam.
