This is € 2.12 billion more than in September 2024. The Netherlands supplied, among other things, F-16 fighter jets, combat vehicles, and air defense systems.
Additionally, the Netherlands provided drones and radars, ammunition for tanks and artillery, and individual weapons, such as machine guns. Moreover, quads and Mercedes-Benz jeeps, medical supplies, and rations were sent to Ukraine.
Furthermore, the Netherlands deployed 255 soldiers in Germany and 350 in the United Kingdom last year to train Ukrainian soldiers.
Industry Needs to Produce More
Ukraine has an acute need for large quantities of military equipment. The high demand is causing prices to rise quickly. It is also taking longer for supplies to be delivered. The production of weapons and vehicles is not fast enough to meet the high demand. Therefore, the Netherlands wants the defense industry to produce more. Defence is committed in various ways to scale up the production capacity of the defense industry, such as through the Drone Action Plan.
Despite the challenges, the Netherlands continues to help Ukraine. Together with European partners, it seeks ways to maintain support.
