Appointment of the Commissioner of the King in Gelderland

The Council of Ministers has agreed, on the proposal of Minister Uitermark of Interior and Kingdom Relations, to nominate Mr. D.H.J. (Daniel) Wigboldus for appointment as Commissioner of the King in the province of Gelderland. The appointment will take effect on March 19, 2025.

Mr. Wigboldus is 55 years old. Until January 2025, he was the chairman of the executive board of Radboud University. Prior to that, he was the dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences at the same university from 2013 to 2017.

Mr. Wigboldus succeeds Mr. Henri Lenferink, who has been the acting Commissioner of the King in the province of Gelderland since October 2, 2023.
