The NWA Call ‘Digital Technology and Work: Understanding the Impact and Applying Human-Centric Solutions’ is now open for applications. The program seeks to develop knowledge and action perspectives to prevent the negative effects of digital technologies on work and to maximize their opportunities.
Currently, there is insufficient knowledge, practical tools, and perspectives to manage the impact of technology on work quality and to map and influence the broader labor-related consequences of rapidly developing technologies.
Program Goal
This Call for proposals aims to develop new knowledge about the impact of digital technology on work and workers, and about the interaction between people, technology, and organizations when technology is used in the workplace. With this knowledge, opportunities can be seized, and adverse effects can be prevented or reduced. The program focuses on developing knowledge and action perspectives for policymakers and organizations that want to implement digital technologies in a healthy, safe, human-centric, and inclusive manner.
For organizations, the program provides insight into the process of deploying digital technologies and their impact, as well as insights into opportunities to continuously develop the technology to make work (processes) more suitable. For policymakers, the program provides knowledge to formulate policies to discourage undesirable application of technology and encourage desirable and effective use of technology.

National Science Agenda Program
The basis for the formation and renewal of the National Science Agenda lies with citizens. In the NWA program, the connection between society and science is essential. Governments, researchers, societal organizations, and citizens develop and utilize knowledge together to achieve scientific and societal impact. Through science communication, knowledge is shared in society to increase involvement in and trust in science.
