At around 7:00 PM, several men entered the residents home. They threatened with weapons and demanded their belongings. When one resident resisted, he was injured. The men left the house empty-handed.
An observant witness managed to provide part of the license plate to the police. After investigation, the suspected vehicle was stopped on the A1 near the Hilversum exit. The three suspects, a 19-year-old man from Ede, a 17-year-old boy from Lelystad, and a 15-year-old boy from Hilversum, were arrested.
The victim was examined by ambulance personnel but did not need to go to the hospital.
