According to CBSs Consumer Radar for December, the consumption conditions in December were less favorable than in November.
In November, consumers bought 2.3 percent more durable goods than a year earlier, primarily more electronic devices and cars. They used 1.5 percent more of other goods compared to November 2023, such as energy products and personal care items. For food and luxury goods, adjusted for price changes, they spent 0.9 percent less.
Consumers availed themselves of 0.6 percent more services in November, particularly spending more on transportation, communication, recreation, and cultural services. Spending on services accounts for more than half of total domestic consumption by households.
