SMS Bomb in Investigation of Deceased Man Delfgauw

Gebied: Delfgauw

In the investigation into the deceased man found on December 8 at a parking lot on the Rijksstraatweg, the police sent an SMS bomb on Thursday, February 13, 2025. The SMS asks who may have information that could be relevant to the investigation.

The police launched a large investigation after the body of 45-year-old Atilla was found on a parking lot on the Rijksstraatweg on Sunday morning, December 8, around 08:00 AM. The victim was found in a white van (Mercedes Citan) that was on fire. Efforts by the emergency services to save the victim were unsuccessful. The victim died at the scene.

The investigation by a Major Investigation Team of the police is still ongoing.

SMS Bomb

In consultation with the Public Prosecution Service, an SMS was sent around noon yesterday to all mobile phone numbers that were in the vicinity of the parking lot at the time the victim was found. This does not mean that these people were at the parking lot, which is located just behind the Ruyven gas station along the A13 and is also known as a meeting place for men. It could also be that these people were in the area, for example, because they were driving on the nearby highway.

The question being asked with this SMS is whether people might have any information that could be relevant to this investigation. Perhaps people saw something unusual in the area of the parking lot before, during, or after the vehicle fire. It may also be that people have information in another way that could help in this investigation, for example, because they had contact with Atilla shortly before his death.

Reporting

Any information about this case is welcome. Information can be shared through the options below. Because the location is known as a meeting place for men, sharing information can be sensitive. Therefore, we emphasize once again that reporting can also be completely anonymous via Meld Misdaad Anoniem.
