Two armed men were reportedly standing in front of the casino at 09:56, according to a bystander. The robbers were wearing balaclavas. Both could not find their way inside, as the entrance door was locked.
Outside, a man was smoking, who according to witnesses was suddenly attacked and beaten. The man was injured in the process. The two perpetrators fled without loot in a red shared car, which drove off in the direction of Patronaatstraat. A third person, presumably the driver, is said to have joined them.
