Shooting Incident on 1st Middellandstraat

On Friday evening, February 21, shots were fired on 1st Middellandstraat. One person was injured. The police immediately launched an investigation into the circumstances. So far, one person has been arrested.

At around 6:30 PM, the control room received multiple reports of shots fired. When the officers arrived, they only encountered witnesses. An investigation was immediately launched, and shell casings were found. Shortly thereafter, a 27-year-old man from The Hague presented himself at the hospital with gunshot wounds. The man appears to be seriously injured and is being treated immediately.

Investigation
The investigation began immediately after the officers arrived at 1st Middellandstraat. Soon they were able to speak with multiple witnesses, and camera footage was secured. This led to the arrest of a 20-year-old man from The Hague shortly after the incident. At this moment, the man is still in custody and is being questioned. What exactly his role is is still under active investigation. Therefore, multiple arrests are not excluded.
