Three suspects of Drenthe art robbery detained for fourteen more days

The examining magistrate of the Noord-Nederland court in Assen has decided that the three suspects (two men and a woman from Heerhugowaard) in the case of the art robbery from the Drents Museum in Assen will remain in custody for fourteen more days.

They are suspected of involvement in the burglary at the museum and the theft of four valuable Romanian art treasures in the early morning of Saturday, January 25, 2025. The burglary was accompanied by an unprecedented heavy explosion.

The investigation is still ongoing. Police and the Public Prosecution Service are working tirelessly to gain insight into the art treasures. We continue to urge the public to share information. This can be valuable in finding the art treasures.
