Gebied: Veenendaal / Amerongen

On Thursday, January 16, two men from Veenendaal were arrested on suspicion of drug trafficking. Searches in Veenendaal and Amerongen uncovered a drug lab, hemp cultivation, and over forty kilograms of narcotics.

Investigation

The police started the investigation following tips from a previous inquiry. The 38-year-old suspect from Veenendaal was allegedly involved in drug trafficking. On January 16, he was arrested along with a 40-year-old man. The police searched four residences and a garage in Amerongen.

During the searches, the police indeed found drugs. There was a drug lab and a hemp cultivation site, as well as large quantities of narcotics and materials for their production. In the garage, more than 40 barrels of chemicals were also discovered. Everything has been seized.

The investigation is ongoing, and more arrests are possible.
