On January 10, a 35-year-old man from Poland was checked on the A67 near Venlo. He was coming from Germany and presented a fake drivers license and two identity cards. He was arrested for this.
Additionally, it was revealed that he was internationally wanted, with outstanding sentences in Poland of over 4 years and in Belgium 15 years, both for drug-related crimes. The Netherlands will prosecute him for the fake documents he provided to the GPT.
The GPT is a collaboration between the Dutch police, Royal Netherlands Marechaussee, and the German police.
