Report
At around 18:05, we received a report of a collision between two cars on Industrieweg in Winschoten, after which a stabbing may have occurred. Upon arrival, we found a damaged car with an injured man inside, a 34-year-old resident of Winschoten. He has been taken to the hospital.
Several hundred meters away, on Lijnbaan, we found a second damaged car. In this car were two men, a 20-year-old man from Scheemda and a 30-year-old man from Winschoten. They were also possibly victims of a stabbing incident. Both have also been taken to the hospital.
Arrest of Suspect
Investigations indicate that there may have been a conflict between the parties involved. Later that evening, the 34-year-old man from Winschoten, the man we found on Industrieweg, was arrested and taken to the detention center. He is in custody and will be interrogated.
Police Investigation
The police are investigating the incident. Witnesses have been interviewed on-site, and forensic specialists have conducted evidence collection at both locations.
