The ILT recently inspected taxis and coaches at Schiphol, with assistance from the Royal Military Police.
During the inspections at Schiphol, driver work and rest periods were examined. A total of 10 coaches and 30 taxis were inspected, resulting in 8 official reports and 2 fines. Warnings were also issued.
Coaches
One coach had a violation. The driver was warned for driving without the correct country code, which is essential for safety and administration.
Taxis
- Four taxi drivers received a work stoppage order for 72 hours due to safety concerns. Two were fined for insufficient rest.
- Two drivers were fined for driving without a valid driver card.
- One driver had an expired license and received an official report.
- One driver was fined for private use of a taxi without proper registration.
ILT Oversight
The ILT enforces rules for safe and fair passenger transport according to the Passenger Transport Act 2000 and the Working Hours Decree Transport. This protects drivers and passengers and prevents unfair competition.
