Investments Grow by Almost 10 Percent in December

These are the latest figures on this topic. View previous figures.
In December 2024, the volume of investments in tangible fixed assets was 9.7 percent larger than a year earlier, according to CBS. There was particularly more investment in other road transport (trucks, trailers, vans, etc.), passenger cars, and aircraft. The increase in road transport is associated with tax changes effective January 1, 2025, and changing regulations regarding environmental zones in some cities. However, there was less investment in buildings than a year earlier.

The figures are not adjusted for working days. December 2024 has one more working day than December 2023. In the CBS Investment Radar for February, the conditions for investments are less favorable than in the December radar.

Conditions for Investments in February Less Favorable

CBS publishes monthly on the conditions for investments in the investment radar. Investments are linked to the situation in the sales markets and the situation in the financial markets. The indicators of the radar correlate quite well with investments in fixed assets, but an improvement in conditions does not necessarily mean greater growth or smaller contraction of investments.

In the CBS Investment Radar for February, the conditions for investments are less favorable than in the December radar. This is mainly due to the year-on-year growth of goods exports being smaller and consumer confidence declining.
