The EU has announced €1.9 billion in humanitarian aid for 2025, distributed as follows:
Middle East and North Africa
- €375 million will go to the Middle East, where the situation in Gaza and Syria remains critical.
- €95 million is allocated to North Africa and Yemen, regions facing complex challenges.
Ukraine
- Ukraine receives €140 million, with an additional €8 million for Moldova.
Africa
- A total of €510 million is available for Africa, including the Sahel and the Great Lakes region.
Latin America and the Caribbean
- €113 million is directed at Venezuela and other crisis areas in the region.
Asia and the Pacific
- €182 million is allocated to Asia, focusing on Myanmar and Afghanistan.
Additionally, €35 million is for Southern Africa and €5 million for Caucasus and Central Asia.
Additional emergency funding
- €295 million is reserved for unforeseen emergencies worldwide.
- €110 million is for innovative projects and policy initiatives.
