College of Commissioners travels to New Delhi to boost EU-India relations

On 27 and 28 February, President Ursula von der Leyen and the College of Commissioners will visit New Delhi to meet with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Indian Government. This visit underscores the strong EU-India relations, set to be strengthened with a new strategic agenda introduced at the EU-India Summit. The visit aims to enhance cooperation in areas crucial for prosperity and security in both regions.

President von der Leyen stated, Europe seeks to deepen ties with trusted partners like India, bound by democratic values. Our visit aims to advance trade, economic security, and technology cooperation. A plenary session with Indian leaders and bilateral meetings will further these discussions.

The second Trade and Technology Council will meet during the visit, focusing on digital transition and sustainable technologies. Key topics include digital infrastructure and value chain resilience.
