Members of Parliament receive petitions on Tuesday, February 11

The committees of the House of Representatives will receive a number of petitions on Tuesday, February 11, as is customary in every meeting week. Citizens and organizations wishing to express their views will visit the House of Representatives building to present their petitions. This time, the MPs will receive several petitions.

The presentation of petitions will take place between 1:15 PM and 1:45 PM in the central hall of the House of Representatives, the Statenpassage. Citizens and organizations present petitions to various committees. Members of Parliament from these committees will come to the Statenpassage to receive the petitions.

Petitions on Tuesday, February 11

  • 1:15 PM: Petition on human rights violations in Balochistan and Pakistan on behalf of Baloch National Movement, Pashtun Tahafuz Movement (PTM) Netherlands, and Stichting ACRA to the Committee on Foreign Affairs;
  • 1:15 PM: Petition New Economy Index 2025 on behalf of MVO Netherlands to the Committee on Climate and Green Growth;
  • 1:30 PM: Petition Decent asylum reception for children on behalf of Save the Children to the Committee on Asylum and Migration.

What is a petition?

A petition is a way for citizens and organizations to make their voices heard. The petition may concern government plans that the submitters disagree with, or a subject they believe is receiving too little attention in the House.
