Petitions Presented to MPs on January 14

On January 14, as in every session week, House committees will receive several petitions. Citizens and organizations come to the House of Representatives to present their petitions, with seven being received this time.

The presentation occurs from 13:15 to 14:00 in the central hall, the Statenpassage. Various committees receive the petitions, and MPs from these committees meet the petitioners.

Petitions on January 14

  • 13:15: Petition on underground hydrogen storage from Nobian to the Climate and Green Growth committee;
  • 13:15: Hospitality Entrepreneurs Agenda from VNO-NCW and others to the Economic Affairs committee;
  • 13:30: Petition on Energy in Figures 2025 from EBN to the Climate and Green Growth committee;
  • 13:30: Petition on financial security for parents of seriously ill children from Vereniging Kinderkanker Nederland to the Social Affairs and Employment committee;
  • 13:45: Petition on A (t)home, a future from State of Youth NL to the Housing and Spatial Planning committee;
  • 13:45: Petition on temporary independent authority for dental hygienists from NVM to the Health, Welfare and Sport committee;
  • 13:45: Petition to address increasing antisemitic incidents in the Netherlands from Gekes Tiental to the Justice and Security committee.

What is a Petition?

A petition is a way for citizens and organizations to make their voices heard. It can address government plans the submitters disagree with or highlight issues lacking attention in the House.
