A man from Boekel is accused by the Public Prosecution Service (OM) of having raped and abused his underage daughter and niece for years. He is also alleged to have committed online sexual offenses and produced child pornography. The Public Prosecution Service demands 9 years in prison and compulsory treatment for the man.
The case began when the daughter and niece reported to the police in spring 2023. The man allegedly committed sexual abuse over a long period, from 2014 to 2023. During a search of his home, it was revealed that he also engaged in online sexual offenses with 14 victims and produced a large amount of child pornography during the same period. During video calls or chats, the suspect recorded the screen and asked the girls to perform sexual acts.
Guilt
The Public Prosecution Service accuses the suspect of engaging in a shocking scale of various sexual offenses. The prosecutor stated: ‘The suspect abused his own daughter and niece, who were entrusted to his care. The girls, who showed themselves in front of the webcam in their most vulnerable state, felt guilty and ashamed when the police contacted their parents. In this case, there is only one person to blame: the suspect. The fact that he still refuses to provide any insight into his motives is difficult for the victims and their parents to bear.’
Demand
The Public Prosecution Service demands a 9-year unconditional prison sentence in this case. It also considers the risk of reoffending to be high and therefore demands a behavior-influencing and freedom-restricting measure once he has served his sentence. The court will rule on February 17.
