The latest Eurobarometer survey reveals that approval for the EUs Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) is at a historical peak. Awareness is at its highest, with 70% acknowledging CAPs role in providing safe and sustainable food.
EU citizens value farmers, with 92% seeing agriculture as critical for the future. 56% believe EU financial support for farmers is appropriate.
Key concerns include food supply stability (94%), reasonable consumer prices (92%), and resource management (91%).
Agriculture Commissioner Christensen praised the publics trust in CAP, emphasizing its role in European integration. The survey involved 26,349 participants from all EU member states.
