Commission receives Frances fourth payment request under the Recovery and Resilience Facility for 3.26 billion euros
The European Commission received Frances fourth payment request for 3.26 billion euros in grants, net of pre-financing. This request includes 17 milestones and targets, covering key investments such as the renovation of 8.75 million square meters of public buildings to improve energy efficiency, the acceleration of sustainable transport infrastructure, digitalization of businesses, and modernization of hospital infrastructure. Reforms to reduce urban greenhouse gas emissions and improve public spending evaluation are also part of the request.
The Commission will assess whether France has satisfactorily met the related milestones and targets. A preliminary assessment will be communicated to the Economic and Financial Committee of the Council.
Frances overall Recovery and Resilience plan will be funded with 40 billion euros in grants. More information is available online on the French plan.
